MAL'S ROOMS IN AMBER

All rooms should be light, with big windows, lots of plants and mirrors, and a fireplace. Polished light wood parquet floors. A view over the city and/or the sea would be nice.

Living Room

Balcony outside. Bookcases, side tables (one with a coffee machine and a samovar on it), coffee table and drinks cabinet in medium-dark wood. Gold-upholstered sofas with dark green and blue patterning. Blue-Green/Green/blue rugs and curtains. Walls patterned in swirling shades of grey while the ceiling is similarly patterned, but much paler (almost white). Both show hints of other colours in their patterns.

Bedroom

Wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table and more bookcases, again in medium-dark wood. Red and gold rugs with deep red heavy curtains. Several deep red and gold armchairs. A large normal (i.e. not four-poster etc.) double bed with red, white and black striped cover. Walls patterned in swirling shades of pale yellow, orange and red; the ceiling is a much paler version of the same (nearly white). A coffee machine on a side table.
