ELEMENTAL LOGRUS

A variant of Advanced Logrus, for which there is no justification in the books, but which is, I think, an interesting idea and deserves to be mentioned.
PRE-REQUISITES : Ranked Psyche and Endurance; Basic Logrus; Basic Shapeshifting with an elemental Avatar Form
This power is a form of advanced Logrus which consists of combining the Logrus imprint of a person with an elemental Avatar form (e.g. an earth, air, fire or water elemental) with that Avatar form, to give a form of Logrus with the powers of, and power over, that element, whether they are in their Avatar form or not. Of course, the person with this power has the choice of using Logrus in combination with their elemental power, or Logrus alone.
Note that this power has not, as yet, been play-tested, so I have no idea how balanced, or otherwise, it may actually be.
Elemental Logrus is actually a number of different powers, one for each type of elemental form the GM allows. The following are some examples:
- FIRE LOGRUS
The initiate can physically manifest a form of Logrus which is on fire to produce burning Logrus tendrils and a burning Logrus shield, which can burn attackers, melt metal and so on. Precisely how intense the fire can be depends on the Psyche of the initiate (though one can 'turn down' the intensity of the flames from one's maximum right down to nothing). The usefulness of this is obvious. They can also use this ability to merge their Logrus tendrils with other fire (mundane or magical, though a Psyche contest with the mage that produced it may be required in the latter case) and control it, forming it into shapes or controlling its intensity; how much fire can be so controlled, and how extreme the things which may be done with it, depends on the Psyche of the initiate.
An 'Electrical Logrus' for those with an electrical Avatar form would probably not be too different to this.
- EARTH LOGRUS
The initiate can create Logrus tendrils which are not just physically manifested Logrus energy but actually animated solid rock (of the same type as that of the initiate's Avatar form). As such they are far less vulnerable to anti-Logrus effects as the Logrus is 'protected' inside the rock. Having manifested the rock the initiate can then withdraw the Logrus from it, leaving the rock behind. This can usefully block or entrap people and things. The initiate can also merge their Logrus with other rock and 'weave' it into new forms; how much rock can be so controlled, and how extreme the things which may be done with it depends on the Psyche of the initiate.
A 'Metal Logrus' for those with a metal elemental Avatar form would probably not be dissimilar to this, though affecting metal (or perhaps even a specific type of metal) rather than earth/rock.
- WATER LOGRUS
The initiate can generate and manipulate water from their Logrus tendrils. The rate at which water can be created, and how much water they can control at any one time depends on their Psyche. This does not allow the creation of 'water cannon' but would allow the initiate to animate masses of water like giant amoebas which could attack and trap people using their Warfare (especially as the initiate can enhance the surface tension of the water to hold people in, matching their Psyche against the Strength of the trapped person), and also cover themselves in a protective sheath of liquid, which would be quite effective in stopping (for example) fire attacks. The initiate can also merge their Logrus with, and control, other bodies of 'normal' liquid (not molten metal, for example) in much the same way as the water they generate themselves.
- AIR LOGRUS
The initiate can generate air from their Logrus tendrils, though only, at most, at the level of a breeze. More usefully, they can merge their Logrus with a large volume of the surrounding air (at least a large roomful) and control it. This can provide effects such as snuffing out fires or causing decompression damage to people and things, or simply allow the initiate to blast things around with gusts of wind. Given enough time the initiate can control enough air, over a large enough area, to create tornadoes, hurricanes and so on, though this is a slow process.
