Tall, muscular and solidly built with chiselled features and dark brown hair. He's affable to everyone and is very peaceable and passive. He doesn't bear arms.
A son of Corwin who returned to Amber in 103 PPF (shortly before the arrival of the Chaos ambassadorial party in Amber). He is older, Amber time, than Tristan.
He came to Amber once, long ago, walked the Pattern, then was never seen in Amber again. As with Tristan, there is no mention of Owen in any of Amber's history books, though some of the elders (such as Caine) do admit to knowing of his existence and having met him when he was in Amber. After that one visit he was not seen in Amber again, and Corwin did not talk about him, never alluding to the existence of Owen.
Even after returning to Amber he has remained reticent about the details of his history prior to now, and doesn't tell his story.
After riots in Amber over property development in the new parts of the city, Owen worked on becoming the fluffy friend of the common folk and defending them from injustice, including stopping people knocking down slums to build expensive property that the original inhabitants can't afford. In fact, he became an enlightened property developer and was starting to build good, subsidised housing at the point where he became trapped in the Tir Na'Nogth anomaly encapsulating Beltaine's quarters in Castle Amber.
After Tamarind freed Beltaine and Owen, Owen was rather badly affected by seven years trapped in dreams. However, seemed to recover, following which in 123 PPF he walked Corwin's Pattern, disappeared through it, and was not seen again until 126 PPF.
According to Corwin (when he was finally found in 126 PPF), Owen destroyed his shadow, Avalon. Apparently he "Found out some things he didn't like and destroyed Avalon trying to kill me. After he ran me through a couple of times, I was forced to run him through and blood curse him."
