Etienne's Take On Heaven

This is somewhat different to Dante's. For Etienne, Heaven is an idealised medieval world of farmland and villages. Everyone is in their proper place. There is no sin. Life is perfect (perfect in medieval terms, anyway). There is no disease or exhaustion. Work is easy, the crops never fail, and they are always plentiful. Families are reunited together in Heaven, and there is never any strife among them.

Heaven is centred on the Silver City, where God and his Angels dwell, along with the especially blessed; this has some resemblance to Amber City.

The City of Heaven is walled and is divided into rings, each of which has its own wall separating it from the other rings. The ten rings of the Silver City are basically the same as the ten Heavens of Dante's Paradiso.
