Hell

Arun makes himself useful, at last. He could be such
a valuable toy, if only he could be silenced.

A land of giants. Chained.

A great wall.

We climb the giants.

To a sweeping sheet of ice.

Jhyx shows us how not to do it.

We fly.

The way out lies past Lucifer - but where?

He stands, mostly buried in ice, yet still a mile high.

I see no door.

Jhyx attempts to bargain with it.

Lucifer tells us exactly how to leave. And then that we can't.

It offers to help us?

It is the deceiver, I have heard.

Yet it knows of Shadow. It will offer us its power to help us escape - and itself (of course). And what do we have to lose?

We lend our strength to it. It is greater than any of us - yet not as great as we are together - this gives me some hope. It rips and tears at the fabric of shadow and a rent begins to open.

God opposes us. Yet Satan is strong enough.

And betrays us, of course. But I am prepared....

Another Place

I cannot explain what it was. We were on the point of escape, or of watching Lucifer escape through our power and its betrayal. Something more powerful than the trump intervened. And yet with touches of sorcery. We were sucked through the rent, Satan screaming behind us, to this strange place where we float as helpless spirits. A thing... a power... drew us in - into this place where objects have no backs, and yet is strangely reminiscent...

...of Rebma?

Yes, I think some reflection of Rebma, somehow.

Moire. Moire has brought us here.

With a jewel.

The reflection of the Jewel of Judgement, which we sought so urgently.

I must learn more of these things.

The room is not a room, but a reflection behind a mirror.

Arun is able to leave. The rest of us are not.

It is true. We are dead.

And we have been betrayed.

We have been killed by Etienne.

This deserves some thought, although I am pleased to be able to give it some.

And strange, but all I can think of is

Revenge!

Bloody Revenge!

In order of the necessary doing of things:

Lucifer

The Furies and Dis

God and all his works

The Enchanted Earth and all its reflections.

And finally, when all else is gone, Etienne, traitor to her own word.

Arun builds bodies.

I have a Connor to inhabit, if I wish.

Better than a mirror, but...?

Confusion.

Disturbing.

I am unsure of all of this.

Yet it must be put aside. I will have time for contemplation when the battle is done, and only then. I begin by drawing new trumps.

Diamond tipped, the best I can muster.

To punch through the barriers of heaven and hell.

And summon God.
