This plan - or lack of it - was nothing more than an exercise in futility.

I have little to contribute to a frontal assault, and better things to do with my time.

I cannot explain this insight.

Except to speculate that death and my return to the Rebman world of mirrors must have served to bring it on.

So we shall now see the nature of God.

The first thing that occurs to me is that, if Shadow is infinite,
there are already an infinite number of shadows with a god present,
even if it's not Etienne's god, so this all becomes a bit academic.

Ways to remove god from a shadow:

Obviously, the method used to get rid of it from Amber can be tried.

But something more automated is preferred.

Make the shadow inimicable to the presence of god through use of the Pattern?

Etienne could do this, I fear, but I cannot.

Import some god-killing agent into the shadow.

And we shall see the nature of a place where no god can exist.

Methods for preventing god from entering a shadow in the first place:

Make the shadow inimicable to the presence of god through use of the Pattern - same problem as before.

Import some anti-god agent into the shadow that will have the same effect.

I could find a virulent anti-god agent, which already has the ability
to spread across from shadow to shadow, and just happens to be locked
up in a bottle - all I have to do is release it?

I could find a virulent anti-god agent that can't spread of its own
accord, in which case I have to spread it myself. This would be tedious.

These worlds have been destroyed to both magic and Trump.

Yet I find nagging gaps in my knowledge.

With better understanding, might I punch through this?

Or filter around it's sides?

Or with better understanding of the Pattern, I could undo it entirely?

I think.

No, I must believe.

We each carry an item infected by 'anti-god' which continuously
infects every shadow we visit.

I manufacture a Trump drawing machine which draws random Trumps of
random shadows, and throws anti-god infection through the Trump link
somehow. We could call it... Ghostwheel...

I wonder if Etienne has any idea how many people she has killed with what she has done to this place.

The infinite citadel alone supports millions. And she has killed them all. Without even knowing she has done so. Her disregard... I had not thought it possible for any tactic of warfare to shock me, yet... such indiscriminate waste!

So my plan, for now, must be to find a god-killing psychic virus
capable of spreading from shadow to shadow, wherever the god infection
exists, and letting it loose.

And also capturing bits of it to put into items so we can spread it ourselves. I think I'd best find multiple variants, to slow down Etienne's countering of this.

Another bottled up psychic virus which spread in the same way, but which attacked Amberites instead of god? Could such a thing be found? Why not?

Obviously, walking the Pattern would rid you of it...

Hmmm. It would also be nice if there could be a virus which made shadows accessible to Trump again.

I suppose one could also release a whole new god, which happened to think I was its master...

As far as Etienne goes, the best plan I can come up with is to send
her letters from her 'mother' via creatures of desire until she's
lulled into a false sense of security, and then send a lethal Trump
trap.

She, who says she serves peace and justice and harmony.

She, who slays worlds.

Now to find the nature of that which will slay gods.
