Recently, Chief Inspector Ian Heatherington of STOP has been contacting London-based superheroes to see is he can gain their assistance in fighting super-crime in London. All of the above heroes have been contacted except for Avenger (who is wanted by the police for quite different reasons), and all of those who have been contacted have agreed to assist STOP should the need arise.
One of the doors of Harrods, Truth, in civilian identity is in her Salvation Army uniform, collecting for the poor. Servo is guarding a nearby fur shop against animal activists. Chronos is doing his Christmas shopping. Avenger is arriving at the nearby Knightsbridge tube station. Blitz is on flying patrol along the streets nearby.
Truth and Chronos observe an 'Ice Man' - an ice-covered human figure - surf past on the inside of the door on some kind of ice slide, throwing up a wall of ice over the door as he passes.
Chronos (who has seen Servo nearby) puts on his costume at super-speed and attracts Servo's attention to this. They move to investigate. Truth sneaks off and desolidifies through the wall, covertly changing into her costume when she gets inside. At this point Avenger also arrives on the scene; he and Truth recognise one another so a fight does not break out.
Moments later Blitz flies around the corner to observe Avenger and Servo independently blowing gaping holes in the ice walls, through which the remaining heroes pass inside.
Inside Harrods, the ice tracks left by the intruder go off in both directions. Truth, having observed the direction the ice man went in, turns left. Avenger follows her.
Meanwhile Servo, Chronos and Blitz team up and go the other way. A few rooms later they come up against an impromptu barrier made of furniture blocking the archway to the next section of the shop. Servo makes as if to blast it away, then changes his mind and pushes through using strength alone. On the other side a big (BIG) super thug (later to be identified as Shockwave) calls him 'Sucker' and hits him (hard). Ouch.
A fight ensues. Servo fights Shockwave (who's super powers seem to be creating shock waves when he stamps on the floor, and being very, very hard) hand-to-hand while Blitz flies about further back and blasts him continually. Unfortunately neither attack seems particularly effective. While Blitz and Servo engage Shockwave, Chronos zips around the room at speed performing an incapacitating starvation-touch attack on Shockwave and the other occupants of the room, who also step into the fight. The other people there consist of:
A this point Avenger arrives and gets vomited on by 'Bug Man'. He shrugs this off and starts to blast the villains, ending up mainly blasting at Death Commando, who returns the favour. Truth also concentrates on Death Commando, managing to get him to shoot at 'Bug Man' by cunning use of being desolid. Several minutes and a lot of scattered jewellery later the thugs flee the room - partly due to being worn down by relentless attacks, but mainly due to the sight of Avenger, by now dripping intestines and vital organs all over the floor, still coming at them like the mad hooligan he obviously is. The 'Ice Man' makes a brief reappearance to block off the exit with a big block of ice just after they pass through.
