Events Between Now and Session 2.1
After recovering, the heroes decide to go back to the warehouse of The Universal Import/Export Company. Blitz flies Avenger and Truth there, Chronos walks, Servo comes down with a brief case of technical problems with his armour that keeps him at the safety deposit box centre for a little while.
Chronos arrives first, as usual, but fails to be his usual stealthy self, and attracts some attention to himself. By the time the others arrive the bad guys have had their attempt to escape in two vans scuppered by Chronos evaporating away all their petrol. Blitz drops the others off and goes to follow the vans.
Truth can smell traces of Stinger, Death Commando and another person (old, but somehow evil-smelling). She tracks them to a nearby alleyway; Stinger, Death Commando, an old man and two thugs are by another truck. Avenger and Death Commando (now natural enemies) open fire down the length of the alleyway. The Thugs and Stinger also open fire, or shoot glop at us but are fairly ineffectual. Truth disappears into the wall.
Chronos arrives at the alley to attack the Old Man by touch, but before he can do so the Old Man turns to Chronos. "Ah, my Child. I'm glad you've arrived," he says. "Time to protect me"
Chronos turns and attacks Avenger.
Blitz opens up from the sky. Avenger is touched by Chronos and slumps to the ground. The Old Man strikes the ground with his cane and wraith-like ghostly figures spiral out from it and attack Avenger, Blitz and Truth. Only Truth, still desolid, is unaffected.
Truth emerges from the wall and enters the van, which she sees contains a driver and yet another thug. She passes onto the roof of the van.
Servo arrives and starts to heal Avenger. Chronos attacks him too.
A sniper blasts Truth, still on the roof of the van, but she doesn't care because she's still in gaseous form. Blitz focuses his energy blasts on the Old Man who is again using his wraith-attack again, A huge blast of energy hits the Old Man, who staggers. Many more wraith-like figures fly out from his body and off in all directions. One enters Chronos, who suddenly feels a lot more co-operative and a lot less like he needs to destroy the rest of the group. Several enter the thugs.
The Old Man, a thug with an eye patch and another thug run to the van. Blitz blasts it with an energy bolt and it erupts into flames. It drives erratically down the street with Stinger seen clinging to the roof.
Truth spots where the so-far unseen sniper is attacking from and goes to get them. They fight briefly, but Truth is knocked out. Oops.
Servo, still thinking Chronos is not on our side, wraps Chronos up in a set of his metal bindings bands. Chronos ages the metal to escape, then runs after the van and ages it. Its fuel tank explodes, throwing Stinger into the air, and blasting Chronos into the wall. The remaining thug dives into the burning wreck and starts to drag 'Eye Patch' out.
Stinger sticks Chronos to the wall with another mouthful of sticky glop. Blitz blasts Death Commando unconscious, but the effort exhausts him and he falls to the ground. Avenger shoots at Stinger and knocks him down. The sniper shoots Avenger, but only suceeds in making him mad. Servo wraps up Stinger and Death Commando in metal binding bands.
Up on the roof, Truth has recovered. She desolidifies and goes to warn Servo of the sniper. Servo leaps up to the roof. "Halt," he shouts to the sniper. He then makes a quite different type of noise as a flashing blade strikes him down.
Avenger, obviously in a compassionate mood, yells at the thug dragging 'Eye Patch'. "Stop right there, or I'll fry your head off!" The thug takes this advice to heart, and stops!
The Old Man is now out of the van as well. He is holdings a short golden staff with a golden snake wound round it (strangely, just the right size to fit into a safety deposit box). He brings the staff down on the cowering man with 'Eye Patch', who slumps to the ground. "Now it is time to show you the true meaning of pain" says the Old Man. He raises the staff, which starts to glow with white light.
Avenger shoots the Old Man, to little effect. "Foolish Child, blah, blah, rant ...", goes the Old Man. Energy starts to condense out of the air and into the staff. "Soon I will be more powerful, blah, blah...", rants the Old Man.
Chronos picks up Death Commando's huge gun and attempts to fire it at the Old Man. Unfortunately he neglects to take off the safety catch so he has little effect. Blitz blasts the Old Man who staggers but takes it.
At this point Servo is thrown from the roof and lands on the pavement with a sickening crunch. Chronos heads for the roof.
Truth attacks the Old Man with a cloud of gas. It has little effect other than to make him rant some more. Avenger shoots the staff and it explodes into a million pieces. The Old Man is MAD (in more ways than one) at this. "You have destroyed plans that have been years in the making," he rants. He carries on for a while in the vein of REVENGE, then he disappears - poof!
Chronos gets to the roof, and sees a figure in a black costume with a gun. He approaches within metres of the sniper but suddenly his feet feel as if they are running over razor sharp, pointed objects (this is later explained by the fact that his feet were running over razor sharp, pointed objects). He falls over and suddenly his buttocks feel like they are sliding over sharpened objects instead. He smacks into the sniper who teeters on the edge of the roof but does not fall off. Chronos attacks the sniper - this time they do fall over, but manage to somersault spectacularly back behind Chronos, dropping a grenade which ignites all around Chronos.
Blitz pops up over the edge of the roof and blasts the sniper. Chronos joins in and the sniper is quickly rendered unconscious. However, while Chronos is over at a nearby water tower extinguishing himself, the sniper gets up and attacks Blitz. Chronos returns and finishes the sniper off; they are now deeply unconscious. And that seems to be that. All the villains out unconscious or fled.
We search the sniper and discover that the sniper is in fact a she; very athletic and heavily muscled.
Avenger, Chronos and Truth go off to destroy Death Commando's weapons and armour. After unsuccessful attempts with large amounts of gunfire and a local car crusher they slowly cut it into small pieces with a welding torch.
Blitz and Servo stay behind to talk to the police (as usual). It turns out that the Old Man, apparently the mastermind behind it all was a Romanian ally of Ceaucescu who succeeded in fleeing the Ceaucescu regime's downfall. He is known as Lampagiu (Lamplighter). Death Commando, Stinger and the sniper are arrested and taken away.
The next day Blitz, Servo, Chronos and Truth are invited to STOP HQ to give statements. They are told that the sniper has no tongue (literally), appears not to understand English, and refuses any other forms of communication. Truth tries to mind control her to speak, but it seems to have no effect.
We also later identify the Pink Female as having the codename of Scatterbrain (!).
