Only fifteen companies which could be described as Solar System wide have survived to 2335, although many more smaller companies survive at a more local level. All other pre-War corporations have been nationalised (voluntarily or otherwise) by the UN, or driven out of business by Hound attacks.
Because of the widespread use of nanos the function of many corporations has changed from providing items themselves to providing the programs for other peoples nanos so that they can make the specified item.
The UN licenses its own (nationalised) shipyards to the corporations which supply its ships.

A consortium of Halo-based companies whose interests cover most aspects of industry. Designers of the Waggoner and Dromedary classes of transport ship.
A Russian-descended corporation, now based on Titan. They specialise in computers, AI systems (although many AI societies control these for themselves), Genetic engineering systems, medical systems and ecoforming techniques.
A French-descended mining corporation, based on Mars.
A descendant of the American General Motors company, General Systems are based on the asteroid Juno and specialise in building ships and artefacts of all kinds. Designers of the Liberator, Celerity and Packhorse classes of ship, and co-designers (with Tranter Expediters) of the Tranter class cargo vessel.
A Chinese-descended transport/shipping company based on Ceres.
A descendant of the Japanese electronics corporation based at the settlement of Four Solitudes in Jupiters Leading Trojans, they specialise in the construction of computers and nanos.
A German descended company based on Starholme whose main interests lie in ship-building and design. Designers of the Duke, Immovable, Swallow, Stevedore and Sherpa classes of ship.
Descended from an offshoot of the old Japanese corporation, with major interests in mining. They are based on the asteroid Vesta.
A corporation specialised in shipbuilding, artefacts and computers, based on the asteroid Pallas. Designers of the Retribution, Masquerade and Bummaree classes of ship.
The commercial branch of the 101 AI society based on Saturns moon Tethys. All members of the 101 society are stockholders. They provide a wide range of products, all of the highest technological standard and are especially expert at psionic technology.
A German-descended corporation based on Ceres whose main interests lie in mining and chemical production.
A Japanese-descended corporation also based on Mars, specialising in genetic engineering and medical systems, psionic technology and terraforming/ecoforming techniques.
A major shipping/transport company, based on Luna. Co-designers (with General Systems) of the Tranter class cargo vessel.
A Ceres-based corporation specialising in communications equipment, psionic technology, news, entertainments and stims.
A Japanese-Native American consortium based on the asteroid Winchester, in in Jupiters Leading Trojans, and partly descended from the Tanaka Defensive Systems corporation founded in the late 20th Century (see the background of the Cyber-Samurai). It also has a major set of facilities at Haganah in the Tailchaser Islands. Its major products are specialised weaponry and psionic technology. Designers of the Voidshark fighter.
