Members of this family are large and muscular with ash-grey flesh and, usually, branching antlers. Hair colour varies. Clothing appears to be optional but when worn is of a coppery armour with greenish tracings on it (like random corrosion patterns). They often carry heavy rune-covered shortswords. It would appear that Strygalldwir and Borel were both members of this family. |

The appearance of members of this family varies widely, but they all have heads which are heavily scarred - as if from drastic surgery - and go around in sevens, each seven apparently having one mind. They wear long purple robes, and when they blink the whole of each heptad blinks in synchronisation. |

It would appear that Aximia, of the Council for Victory, came from this family. They are known to be the possessors of a unique power, from which their nickname of Souleaters is derived. This power seems to allow them to remove the soul or spirit of a person from their body and into a non-physical 'inner world' inside themselves, the form and shape of which is entirely controlled by the Souleater. |

This family seems to consist of people with silver hair, silver-pupiled eyes and silvery-white skin. They wear layered diaphanous silver and white clothing. The family colours are, unsurprisingly, silver and white. |

All members of this family have utterly white skin, and are completely hairless. Their eyes do not have a coloured iris at all, but are solid white with only the black dot of the pupil showing. They wear clothing which looks like a long white doctor's coat over loose white trousers. Unsurprisingly, the family colour is white. |

The family of the Ambassador from Chaos who was briefly in Amber in 103 PPF. As a family they are tall, with severe features and nice voices. They have pale blue-white skin with steel blue-grey hair, silver pupiled eyes and a pair of backward-curving pointed horns going back from their foreheads close to the skull. The family colours are royal blue, black and silver. |

All of tall and slender build, otherwise the appearances of members of this family vary quite widely. Their skin and hair are faintly patterned, although the actual pattern and colour scheme varies from individual to individual, from light-on-light to dark-on-dark. Eye colour varies very widely; even individuals often have eyes of different colours. They seem to wear clothing which harmonises with the patterns on their bodies. They appear to have no specific family colours; instead 'patterned' seems to perform the same purpose. |

Members of this family appear to always go naked. In terms of looks they are deathly pale with long white hair which sheds tiny sparkling motes, whether they are at rest or moving. Their eyes can flash red. Based on the their descriptions, Lintra and the Hellmaids were from this family. They appear to carry the most Trumps per person of anyone in the Courts of Chaos. |

People from this family are tall and thin with harsh angular features, vary pale skin, straight black hair in a widow's peak, long-fingered hands with almost claw-like nails, swirling scarlet pupils, slight pointed ears and longer than normal canine teeth. The family colours are black and midnight blue. It would appear that Hania, of the Council for Victory, came from this family. Hania possessed a power not otherwise seen in the Council for Victory (a power unique to the Family Vathek?) - the ability to turn into an immaterial form capable of moving through solid matter. Unfortunately for him this ability did not work terribly well in Amber... |
