THE ROYAL FAMILY OF GIRASOL

The oldest surviving child of Osric and Tigerin, that is, a grand-daughter of Oberon. Alicia is a powerful shapeshifter, seemingly (from the original level of her life-force) older than any of the Elder Amberites other than Benedict.

In her natural form she has light brown skin with darker brown leopard spots, brown/black hair in a similar pattern, and grey eyes. She has been known to split up into several miniature versions of herself and dance with herself. In terms of personality she gives the impression of being more than a little flaky, but with a powerful mind. She seems to have no special equipment.

Daughter of Osric and Daphne, that is, a grand-daughter of Oberon. Tall and athletic, with a fairly muscular build, dark blonde hair, tanned skin and hazel eyes. In her portrait she wears a desert-coloured 1930's-style military uniform, with no hat, and has a male lion by her side.

Son of Thomas and Inga, that is, a great-grandson of Oberon and a grandson of Delwin. He has blonde hair, grey-brown eyes, and a slim build. He is short with graceful movements, and seems upbeat and optimistic. He seems to have quite a powerful mind, a spell rack ring, and a pet wolf which follows him about.

Son of Oberon and Harla, the full (younger) brother of Sandrine. He died in an attack by the Ordnung long ago, but not before fathering James and Thomas.

Son of Sandrine and Dominic, that is, a grandson of Oberon.

Son of Thomas and Tanya, that is, a great-grandson of Oberon and a grandson of Delwin. Evan was the first Girasolian the Player Characters ever met, in the Land of the Dead, where he appeared to have been killed by a heavy blow to the head.

Perhaps it is due to his having lost most of his life-force in the Land of the Dead, but he seems to be rather ... slow. He seems to spend a lot of time in one of Girasol's ring of defensive shadows, Garrison 6. He usually carries a large crossbow, which also seems to be a spell rack.

Son of Osric and Tigerin, that is, a grandson of Oberon. He has long blonde hair in a ponytail and grey eyes, and looks like a young, blonde, less severe version of Benedict. He seems fairly young, straightforward and easy-going, but does not seem to be the brightest of the Girasolians. He appears to be a skilled fighter, has a spell rack ring, and has been seen to wear a suit of vaguely Arabic-style chain mail with greaves and a Grecian-style helmet.

The Traitor, a son of Sandrine and Kurt (and as such a grandson of Oberon) who betrayed Girasol to the Ordnung long ago. Rolf, Donovan, Kurt, Tigerin and Jacob (who was very young at the time) all died in the attack he led against Girasol before he was himself killed.

Son of Gideon and Charity, that is, a great-granddaughter of Oberon and a granddaughter of Osric. He died very young, very long ago, in Hugh's traitorous attack against Girasol.

Son of Delwin and Irene who died long ago. A grandson of Oberon.

Daughter of Gideon and Zinaida, that is, a great-granddaughter of Oberon and a granddaughter of Osric. She has dark skin, black hair, and grey eyes. She also has a spell rack ring.

Daughter of Gideon and Theresa, who died long ago. A great-granddaughter of Oberon and a granddaughter of Osric.

Daughter of Osric and Daphne who died long ago. A granddaughter of Oberon.

Son of Osric and Daphne (and as such a grandson of Oberon) and a General in the forces of Girasol. He is horribly mutilated and despite being an Amberite seems not to have regenerated this damage. He has only one arm, the rest of his limbs being stumps at best, and is horribly scarred. His brown hair is cropped very short (showing the scars on head), and he has pale skin and grey eyes. In terms of personality he is morose and grim, serious and humourless, definitely not a happy man.

He wears a suit of Trump-powered armour given to him by Osric, which, among other things (such as being a spell rack), acts as a powered exo-skeleton and allows him to move and function relatively normally. Unfortunately this can be suppressed by the Pattern and will not work in Girasol itself.

He seems to spend a lot of time in one of Girasol's ring of defensive shadows, Garrison 1.

The second son of Oberon and Cymnea, and full (younger) brother of Benedict. He is the King of Girasol, ruling the place jointly with Sandrine since its founding tens of thousands of years ago. He is tall, thin, and old-looking (apparently from the effects of using his own blood to destroy the Girasol Patterns), resembling Benedict somewhat, with quite long white hair and grey eyes [he looks rather like Sean Connery in 'First Knight']. He wears black clothing with a golden honeysuckle emblem on the lapel.

He appears to know many powers, particularly Pattern, Magic and Trump, learnt collectively with Sandrine. This is because he and Sandrine are the only ones who can use them in the Girasol universe, as they are the only ones with Pattern imprints. He seems to have a very powerful mind. He also has a Pattern Blade (actually Oberon's, but which he 'borrowed'), which is named Galendrath.

Son of Gideon and Elena who died long ago. A great-grandson of Oberon and a grandson of Osric.

Son of Osric and Tigerin and grandson of Oberon. Like his sister Alicia he was a shapeshifter. He died in the Ordnung attack led by the traitor, Hugh.

Daughter of Oberon and Harla, full (older) sister of Delwin, and Queen of Girasol which she rules jointly with Osric since its founding tens of thousands of years ago. She has dark hair, brown eyes, and wears grey and black clothes with brown and gold trim, usually in the form of trousers rather than skirts. In terms of personality she seems cool, calm, dutiful, and loyal to Girasol.

Like Osric, she appears to know many powers, particularly Pattern, Magic and Trump, learnt collectively with Osric. This is because she and Osric are the only ones who can use them in the Girasol universe, as they are the only ones with Pattern imprints. She seems to have a powerful mind, too. She also carries a number of Empowered items.

Daughter of Sandrine and Dominic who died long ago. As such a granddaughter of Oberon.

Son of Delwin and Irene, that is, a grandson of Oberon. From the original level of his life-force he is seemingly older than any of the Elder Amberites other than Benedict. He seems to be a high-ranking member of the Girasol military. He has reddish-brown hair, swarthy-reddish-tinged skin and brown eyes. He tends to wear armoured motorcycle leathers under a long coat, and carries a pair of multi-formed weapons which also act as spell racks.

He seems to be a serious and dedicated defender of Girasol, not afraid to take risks when necessary, nor afraid to give out information when he deems it necessary.

Daughter of Sandrine and Kurt, that is, a granddaughter of Oberon. She has long dark hair, pale skin and violet eyes. In terms of clothing she most often wears a white medical-type smock and trousers.

She appears to rule the shadow of Lazaret, a highly magical, well-guarded and fairly real fast-time hospital-world in the Girasol multiverse. Una also seems to have quite a powerful mind and wears a cameo on a choker about her neck which acts as a spell rack.
