Through the thick soundproof black metal door from the guardroom is the actual cells area, a dark stone-walled torch-lit space. Four guards stand by the black metal doors below, watching what goes on. The barred cells are apparently comfortable (the bars are also of black metal), guarded by thugs (these cells are really just for show, in order to help reassure the PC's that they are doing the right thing). Through the guarded black metal side doors at the bottom of the stairs is the REAL prison, which is reached by way of the torture chambers - people in cages and chained up, torture machines, torture victims, everything one might expect in a tyrants dungeon...
