Anguish/Rainbow (Tracey Frost)

Tracey Frost was originally a fairly low-powered superhero, along with her brother Crossfire. She was captured by Dr Destroyer in 1987 and he kept her prisoner, toying with her mind, body and powers during that time. She suffered immensely, and came out of it the psychotic creature she now is. Eventually Dr Destroyer released her into the world, and she was compelled to become an assassin for hire; she is a very good one. In 1988 she was hired by the Chilean government to assassinate the Defenders of Minerva. She only managed to get Peregrine before being chased off. She has also killed several members of PRIMUS and is wanted for at least 40 other murders too. She is compelled to charge a lot of money for each hit, from about $50000 to $2-3 million for difficult targets.

She is programmed to enjoy killing, but hates herself for it and the life she is compelled to lead. She often kills people at full size in a subconscious attempt to fail or be captured. She has no wish to associate with others as they are either scum like herself or if not they do not deserve to have her company inflicted on them. She also hates herself for giving in to Dr Destroyers programming but considers this her fault, not his. She has tried a few relationships since her being released, but these have all ended and she doesn't even try any more - she knows she's got no hope of a normal happy life any more...

She loves/hates her brother, especially now that she knows he's alive (or at least was in 1990). She both wants to rejoin him and revenge herself on him for leaving her Dr Destroyers clutches for so long. She also dislikes him as he reminds her of her former life.

Anguish has a fairly large reputation in the underworld as a reliable killer who it is very unwise to cross or betray (she has killed a number of employers who have tried to kill or betray her).

How powers originally consisted of shrinking, flight, and light generation and projection. Twisted by Dr Destroyer, she retains her shrinking and flight but now can project a mass of killing psionic energy into a target on touch, causing them to rapidly die as the energy does its work.

Rainbow originally had a fairly high Ego, Dr Destroyer boosted it and as Anguish she has pushed it even higher in the hope that no-one will ever be able to control her again.

Her costume is dark blue-grey with bright red slashes, black gloves, boots and choker, all with silver studs. The choker has a bright blue gem in the centre (it looks like a focus, but actually isn't).
