Maryellen Elias was a PRIMUS scientist in Washington D.C., as was her brother Arthur. She was working on a number of cybernetic research projects. Her brother couldn't handle the stress of the job, and life in Washington D.C., and turned to drugs. Although she eventually found out and tried to stop him he eventually died of an overdose. She was heartbroken, but her grief soon turned to hatred for all drug dealers.
She decided she had to do something about them. She stole from PRIMUS, and set up a secret lab, then vanished. She then rebuilt herself into a cyborg, including among the implanted parts a stone taken from a DEMON base which gave certain people who touched it the ability to teleport. Then she went out and started killing drug dealers, moving to New York when things became hot in Washington. Although she will stop any criminals she sees she only kills drug dealers.
She has a secret hideout in New York, at a secret location well away from her apartment, which contains the equipment and computers necesary to continue her war on crime.
She worked as a paramedic in New York for a while, using an alias. After some years her inhuman condition started to prey on her mind, and she eventually came to the conclusion that although her fight against drugs dealers was a good thing, what she had done to herself had been a huge error. The only way out would be to to have a new human body cloned. Unfortunately there was no easy way to do this. Then the Minervan Civil War started. After a while she offered her services to the rebel side in return for a new body after the war. With the ending of the war and the return of the Amazon this has actually come about (after the death of her cyborg body in an anti-matter explosion while fighting Eurostar), so she is no longer a cyborg but a normal human being...
Breaker is 5'8" tall with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. As a cyborg her skin was plastic and showed up as such on sonar etc., and in addition to the ability to teleport gained from the DEMON stone, her cyborg body had superhuman physical abilities, and large retractable fingertip claws. Her costume was skintight black leather, with a full face mask.
