Lady Blue (Tara Lemick)

Born in 1967 in a poor area in Pittsburgh, Tara's father died when she was very young and her mother had to work long hours at menial jobs to allow them both to survive. Due to this, and the fact that she had to give up school in order to work, Tara was never well educated. However she never despaired and always looked on the bright side of life, looking for ways to help herself and others. Also she was highly intelligent and taught herself a variety of sciences and acrobatic skills in her few spare hours. From published papers she was able to construct a suit which gave her a variety of magnetism-based powers. She used this suit to rob banks and other rich institutions of millions of dollars, most of which she distributed to the poor and needy across America. Her personality and attitude to helping people, revealed in a great many interviews with the media, made her more popular than many heros among the general populace, but did nothing to increase her popularity with the authorities.

Once or twice she was captured by heros, but each time her wealth enabled her to hire lawyers who got her off the hook, although after her first capture in 1986 her identity was accidentally revealed to the public. Later that year she aided in the rescue and recovery efforts after the Mexico City earthquake, along with the Protectors and English Rose.

Early in 1988 Tara was approached by agents of the Minervan government with an invitation from The Amazon herself to join the Defenders of Minerva. After long consideration she accepted the offer, and moved herself and her mother to Minerva. She was massively impressed by The Amazon when she met her, and has never regretted the decision. With the aid of Minervan facilities Tara was also able to effect some significant improvements and enhancements to her combat armour, a process which stood her in good stead during several combats later on.

However, Tara was still a wanted criminal in both the USA and Europe and this severely limited her usefulness to the Defenders of Minerva, as well as tarnishing their reputation. In the autumn of 1989 The Amazon suggested she move to become part of the security forces for Starholmes 1 and 2, along with the superhumans Sapphir and Mercure. Tara readily agreed, as she didn't want to bring the Defenders of Minerva into disrepute and in October took up residence in Starholme 1. Since then she has played a significant part in Starholme's security forces, as well as producing significant scientific results using Starholme 1's laboratory facilities. Occasionally since then she has been seen on Earth, helping out in some worthy cause, but never for long.

Tara is an attractive young woman in her mid-twenties with blonde hair, blue eyes and an enthusiastic, bubbly personality. Her costume is of royal blue and white and provides her with a variety of magnetism-based powers as well as protecting her from the hostile environment of space.

Lady Blue belongs to Hero Games, not me, but I used the above version of her in my campaign because I liked the character.
