In Germany, nearly everyone is in a uniform of some kind, apart from servants and menials, and obviously foreigners. Swastikas are everywhere. People avoid looking into each others eyes.
In occupied areas, fear is in those occupied, arrogance in the occupying troops, especially the SS and Gestapo. Most places show a few signs of fighting, and there are usually a few bodies of 'criminals' who have been hung which are on display in public squares and the like. People are generally somewhat haggard looking (apart from the obvious collaborators) and poorly dressed. Stooped, sunken-faced women; thin, ragged children.
Ju-87 Stukas have struck fear into populations all over Europe.
In occupied Europe everyone must carry Id cards and papers (which include the persons racial background); it is a serious crime not to. Travel is regulated - permits stamped by the local Polizeifuhrer are needed. Gestapo men on trains etc. check peoples papers; there are also random spot checks.
Superhumans who join the Nazis are given an amnesty. When conducting anti-terrorism type operations, someone always stays back with a radio to report developments. Superteams tend to be somewhat undisciplined due to bosses fear of them, and a desire to keep them working for whoever. Personality clashes between supers can also cause problems; for this reason supers often operate alone, with normals as backups
Superhumans are utterly deadly to normal aircraft.
High Nazis and their children who offend against the state for some reason are not usually put into concentration camps; instead they are usually put into 'lunatic assylums'.
Admiralty House in London is the English headquarters of the Gestapo. The Reichsgoverner of the British Isles lives in Buckingham Palace.
Gestapo HQ in Berlin is at 8 Prinz Albrechtstrasse, a sprawling 18th century palace of grey granite with a slate roof. Interrogation rooms and cells in the basement levels; offices above; inadequately lit halls; rows of doors with frosted glass windows.
Germany has Russia to a little east of the Urals and south to the Aral Sea.
The Nazis tried to keep the death camps secret, and succeeded fairly well until one or more victims developed superhuman powers, escaped, and informed the world. This led to a lot of problems for the Germans (uprisings among the Jews who still hadn't been removed, superhumans breaking out of the camps etc.). For these reasons all concentration camps now have electric fences, surface-to-air-missiles, napalm flame-throwers and gattling guns in order to defend against superhumans. Because the Jewish 'problem' has, to a large degree, been 'solved' many camps have been closed and all evidence destroyed. Only a small number of camps remain... The later camps use gas chamber barracks so that people are murdered while they sleep, causing less superhumans.
The Black Angels are a number of SS brigades made up of all the SS members who were involved in the massacres etc. before the 'industrialisation' of the death camps. Most of them suffer from severe mental disturbances. They are used for the most gratuitous and brutal operations, for which they are best suited, and which saves others from suffering their fate...
The UK was split into separately administered England, Scotland, Wales and Eire after its fall.
The UK has a very strong and deeply entrenched resistance, arising from the long time between it becoming obvious to the government the Britain could not hold out, and the actual surrender, which gave them time to prepare. Many well supplied, well concealed bases were constructed and arrangements for moving agents around put in place. Many of Britain's elite military forces were 'disappeared' into the underground as part of this. The underground don't do very much against the Nazis at present due to the harsh reprisals, but they work to build structure, save valuable people and expand their influence.
They have some superhumans with them, but not too many - they tend to be distrusted by the resistance authorities.
They are obviously hunted by the Nazis and the official UK government, and do suffer a problem with infiltration and betrayal.
Various ships from the fleets of the UK etc. escaped after the capitulation. These are now based at ports in Australia and South Africa; some went to Canada but were impounded after pressure from the US. The British Royal family fled to Canada without any problems, but fled again to Australia after the US applied more pressure on Canada. Two members were left behind and were deported back to the UK.
Czechoslovakia has a resistance, The Tower, which is as deeply rooted as the UKs, but which is likewise limited by fear of reprisals.
Resistance movements exist all over Europe : White Rose (German); Golem (Jewish, originated in Prague), The Sons of Zion (Jewish). Joint operations have been carried out by the Tower and the Jewish resistance in the Warsaw ghetto.
In the USA permits are needed to travel out of state. Blacks especially (but other minorities too) suffer from random spot checks, limits on their movements and racism. Racism has increased markedly, and race riots are fairly common.
There is the distinct possibility of a military coup in the US to genuinely try and restore order.
South America is a hotbed of spies etc.
Moslem anti-Nazi insurgents are common in the Middle East and western Asia.
The Axis 'jointly' owns Middle Eastern oil.
Japan has eastern India; Calcutta and the coal and metal mines to the west of it. Siberia is not cut off, although rail and major road links are severed. Japanese control goes into the eastern corner of Mongolia.
The war between Japan and China also enhanced and extended by supers. Strike(s) on Japanese government by Chinese and Korean superhumans. The parts of China not held by Japanese have mostly reverted to warlordism. India has been wracked by ethnic, racial and religious violence due to supers; several uprisings against the British. The Japanese have invaded India, but not yet taken all of it. Those bits they have taken are still mainly in turmoil. British forces are still fighting a guerrilla war against the Japanese in southern India and SE Asia.
Some Chinese warlords ally with USSR or UK for protection (nominal) from Japan; some 'ally' with Japan. Chinese Communists and Nationalists both have superhumans. Communists try to bring warlords into their fold; Nationalists try to conquer them; this usually fails...
Japan has invaded northern Australia. Australia and South Africa are the only bits of the British Empire which really continue to fight.
