Dramatis Personae


Various non-superhuman people met over the course of the campaign segments.


ADRIK

General Winter's manservant and a generally useful person to have around.


PROFESSOR URSULA ARMANOVICH AGAFIA

Head of Department at the Parapsychology Department at Moscow State University. She is a little white haired old woman, who usually dresses in black with a white lab coat over the top. Her grey hair is tied up in a bun. She is blind, but has some psychic powers. In particular, she has demonstrated communications-only telepathy and the ability to receive visions of events taking place now or in the near future.


'MR ALEXANDER'

A fairly intelligent thug who is now Andrey Sichul's contact with the Russian Mafia after the 'retirement' of his former contact.


MATVEY BEODYOVITCH BARSAN

A mafioski, found dead in the Moscow River of massive poisoning.


LIEUTNANT ALENA MIKHAILOVICH BODONOVA

Police officer in the pay of the mafioski at the Botanical Gardens police station.


BORIS

An ex-veteran, allegedly previously cured of psychological problems, who turned up as a head on the first canoe-helmeted monster.


BORIS (another one)

A homeless man who noticed 'some sort of monster' come out of a metro station and get into a van. He was questioned by the Moscow Superheroes when they were hunting canoe-headed monsters. His friends thought he was drunk.


DR CHESLAR BORODINSKY

Napalm's counsellor at the Afghanistan Veteran's Foundation.


PROFESSOR IVAN MIKHAILOVITCH BOROSHENKO

The Director of the Research Reactor Facility at Moscow State University.


CHESLAV

A businessman with whom Nut (in the form of Andrey) shared a compartment on the Trans-Siberian railway to Krasnoyarsk. He enjoys cards and drink.


CAPTAIN CLARKE

A member of the ATD, which is apparently part of the United States Air Force. He was observing the operations against the Siberian tree-incursions.


DENIS

The concierge of Building 51 on Nakhimoski Prospekt, which is Ludmilla's (Mother Bear's) apartment building. He is a fat greasy looking man in a string vest.


EGOR

One of Napalm's former army comrades, another homeless drunkard, who died in a car accident caused by the Cursing Doll.


COLONEL FABIAN

The commander of a detachment of the 32nd Siberian Regiment.


BORIS FEODOR

A mafioski drug lab technician, who Akula knew from the chemistry department of Moscow University.


FYODOR

The other Reactor technician at Moscow State University (in addition to Akula's civilian identity), who was killed in a reactor accident caused by the Cursing Doll. He lived in apartment 506 of Building 50.


MIKHAIL GREGORAVICH

A mafioski boss. The third fingers of both his hands were shot off by Molinya in her civilian (policewoman) identity during an interrogation. He is suing her.


GUNTER

The much put-upon German manager of the Olympic Penta Hotel.


A HATCHET-FACED MIDDLE-AGED WOMAN

The librarian at the city archives in the City Duma building.


IGOR

A businessman with whom Nut (in the form of Andrey) shared a compartment on the Trans-Siberian railway to Krasnoyarsk. He enjoys cards and drink.


WILHELM KREUTZ

A German spy imprisoned in Russia since WWII.


LIEUTNANT KULIN

Military contact for the Moscow Police.


HEDEON DONATOVITCH KUREVKA

Mafioski leader, brutally killed.


LARISSA

A student at School Number 32 in Moscow. She slipped on some soap in the showers, hit her head and was taken away by ambulance.


NATASHA RUSLANOVITCH MASSOVSKA

The little girl who owns the Cursing Doll. She lives with her parents, Ruslan and Marina Massov, in apartment 503 of Building 50, and goes to Moscow School Number 32. The Massovs are new to Moscow, having moved to Moscow from the village of Dolgino, near Novgorod, for work. They live in the apartment block next to Mother Bear's, on Nakhimoski Prospekt in southern Moscow. Natasha is an awkward child, short and well built with ragged blond hair and blue eyes, and is not very socially adept, with a country accent and a large 'port-wine stain' birthmark on her face. She also carries her doll around with her everywhere. Thus she is bullied. [Earth 2 (Hide Feelings), Air 4 (Music), Fire 2 (Running), Water 4 (Hiding)]

Marina is quite short, broad-shouldered, and blonde with blue eyes. She also has a country accent.


MRS NARAKOVA

The first incident of 'bad luck' in the recent group of incidents caused by the Cursing Doll. She fell down the stairs and broke both of her legs. She lived in apartment 408 of Building 50.


CAPTAIN GIORGY ARTUROVITCH OSTRANKO

The Moscow Police Superhuman Liaison Officer. A man in his forties, muscular, but running to fat somewhat from too much desk work. He has grey eyes and dark, grey-shot, slicked-back hair.


MRS PEBCUNIA

A babushka who reported the first sighting of Cricket.


NIKOLAI PETROVICH

One of Molinya's snitches (in her policewoman identity).


CAPTAIN PETROVICH

A Naval submarine captain known by Akula from his time in the Navy.


ALEXI ALEXIEVITCH PHILLIPOV

A police officer Napalm talked to after the death of Egor, and who took pity on her, giving her some money and letting her sleep in his apartment, which is in a block near Prospekt Vernadskovo Metro Station. He seems a little strange, apparently having very little in the way of a life, and not drinking alcohol...


STANISLAV PHILIPOVICH ROSTINAR

A mafioski who worked for Mr Starukha.


RAISA ROSTOVA

One of Mother Bear's daughters, who was working as Mr Starukha's 'secretary'.


HELGA VON SALZGITTER

An ex-Nazi professor of robotics at Moscow University.


GENERAL LEONID MAKSIMOVICH SERGEYOVICH

The leader of the 12th guards division.


SHIKARI-DOE

An allegedly seven-billion year old oriental woman the Moscow Superheroes met five and a half billion years in the future (so she would be about 1.5 billions years old in 1997). She helped them teach the sentient trees how to do space travel, and sent them most of the way back to 1997.


CAPTAIN SMITH

A member of the ATD, which is apparently part of the United States Air Force. He was observing the operations against the Siberian tree-incursions.


VALENTINA STAROI

Ex-girlfriend of Matvey Beodyovitch Barsan who was given forged documents and money by the group to get her to the USA in return for information.


MR STARUKHA

A high-ranking mafioski whose room in the Olympic Penta Hotel the party stormed into.


SERGEI SUBEROV

A student at School Number 32 in Moscow, who was killed at school by an icicle falling from the school roof. His parents are Anya and Pavil Suberov. They live in apartment 201 of Building 50. His death was caused by the Cursing Doll.


EGOR SUBICH

A computer science student at Moscow University known by Akula. A hacker, who was able to get into the laptop computer stolen from Mr Starukha.


SERGEANT GAVRIL ARMANOVICH SUKHANKO

A corrupt policeman at the Savelovskya police station.


CAPTAIN SULKO

An officer in the Federal Counter-Intelligence Service (FCIS) who helped the group figure out what was going on.


DR SUNISLAV

The Head of the Transplant Department in the teaching hospital at Moscow State University. He helped Akula in his enquiries regarding the making of the canoe-helmeted monsters.


FATHER BRENCIS SVANTHPOLK

A monk at the Monastery of the Sign. He is in his forties, with short greying hair and a muscular build. He carries himself like a soldier. He is an exorcist for the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow.


SVETLANA

A student at School Number 32 in Moscow, who was run over and killed by a car whilst waiting on the pavement for a bus. This was caused by the Cursing Doll.


LUKYAN MATVEYOVICH SVOYAN

A member of Office 8 of Army Intelligence, who the group met after the defeat of the Sleeper.


MRS TOPELOVA

A woman who fell from her seventh floor balcony after part of it collapsed in an accident caused by the Cursing Doll. She lived in apartment 702 of Building 50.


THE TULKU

A shaven-headed teenaged youth whom Napalm met floating above a mandala in a Tibetan lamasery. He knew Napalm's real name despite her not telling it to anyone in Tibet, ever. He accepted the payment of Napalm's soul upon her death for removing Sirdar from her mind.


AN UN-NAMED BEAR-LIKE WOMAN

The Moscow Superheroes encountered her on October 31st 2876, at 1PM Berlin Time. She operated the time machine that got them the rest of the way back to 1997.


BARAN VARINKA

A contact through whom Mr Kurevka obtained his bodyguard Vilma.


VARINKA

The concierge of Building 50 on Nakhimoski Prospekt, the apartment building next to the one Mother Bear and her family lives in. She is a fearsome-looking babushka.


MRS VARUSHA

An English Teacher at School Number 32 in Moscow. She broke her arm falling down the stairs in an accident caused by the Cursing Doll.


CAPTAIN VIDORAVICH

A Captain's in the 12th guards division who works as an aide to General Sergeyovich.


VILMA

Mr Kurevka's tongue-less, non-Russian speaking but heavily armed bodyguard, who was handed over to the police but quickly escaped.


VLADIMIR

An ex-veteran, allegedly previously cured of psychological problems, who turned up as a head on the first canoe-helmeted monster.


MR WEATHERBY

A member of the British SI-12 organisation who was observing the operations against the Siberian tree-incursions.
