New character John Doe (played by Steven Deas). John Doe has been wandering the streets of London for the past two days, he cannot remember much. He is dressed in a trench coat and fedora hat. He thinks that London has changed a lot since he last walked the streets, he also has the feeling that he must do good. He hears about the likely flooding of London so makes for the river. As he passes a street in the City he sees an abandoned lorry and four large spidery robots demanding the annihilation of the human race.
At the Thames Barrier - Servo ably assisted by Cronos and Mr Smyth has constructed a control panel for the raising of the Barrier by using most of the components from his armour. Just minutes before the flooding was likely to occur they raise the Barrier. Cronos then goes to assist the others, Servo remains behind to give statements, then leaves to reconstruct his armour.
Cronos speeds through the City. He sees the tied up Viper men, lots of broken glass in another street then hears lots of banging and crashing from the North so heads that way.
Meanwhile the robots have emerged from the sewers and start terrorising the citizens. Avenger reacts first and shoots one of them, locking one of its legs. Noesis puts up his force field. Truth advances on another of the robots climbing inside it. Blitz puts up his force field and soars into the sky. John Doe leaps at one of the robots and as he splats against it he forms a tentacled pancake around it. The robots chant "DIE ORGANIC LIFE FORMS DIE", and start firing into the crowds of fleeing people. The robot which John Doe is on pulls him off and throws him onto a nearby car. Cars explode into flames as they are hit, people run from the area screaming. Cronos then arrives on the scene and he makes for one of the robot, it however avoids his attack. The fight continues, Avenger deals with one of the robots, Blitz blows up another. Truth, Noesis and Blitz deal with the third, Cronos defends the people by countering all the grenades and blaster attacks. The fourth robot has John Doe pancaked across it, he suddenly grows giant wings and flies straight up, Avenger fires on it. Unfortunately the shot hits one of the wings and it starts to plummet. Noesis manages to grab John Doe before it hits the ground, the robot smashes.
Noesis lands the winged pancake gently onto the floor, it gushes blood from its wounded wing and the blasted off part of the wing lands some way off. Noesis goes to talk to the pancake which grows legs, tentacles, three eyes and a mouth, its wounds rapidly heal after the bleeding has stopped. Noesis then goes and retrieves the wing, he takes a tissue sample before returning to the pancake which has now become a frog like t-rex, it eats the wing.
Cronos rushes around healing the injured. Truth comforts those in shock. Suddenly Cronos sees the waif like girl again, as she steps towards him she goes to speak and disappears. Cronos again gets a strange feeling.
From the distance we all hear sounds of sirens and helicopters. Blitz from the sky cannot see any other robots. Avenger examines the abandoned lorry, he finds no gold bullion, but sees a shred of black plastic bin liner in the door mechanism.
It is then decided to follow the sewers to discover where the robots came from. Cronos, Avenger, Noesis, Truth and John Doe go into the sewer, Blitz decides not to follow after remembering his fear of being buried. John Doe introduces himself.
The group proceed down the sewer following scratch marks they deduce the robots made. Blitz remains behind giving the police statements. STOP agents arrive and cordon off the area, followed shortly by a TV crew.
The group in the sewers go about 1/4 mile before finding a large hatch way, and the scratch marks stop. Truth passes through the hatch and goes to investigate the area. She finds a sterile white room, it has an airlock doors, an arched roof, and two blasters which fire at her unless she stands in front of the other blaster or part the large computer or other machinery. There is a partly assembled robot and lots of crates. Truth goes back to the others and tells then what is there. Cronos and John Doe have forced the hatch open a small amount, John Doe then oozes into the gap and forces it open. Blitz contacts Cronos on the radio and asks where they are, Truth goes to the surface and determines they are between Shoreditch and Liverpool Street in a lock up unit. The others by now have the hatch open and leap into the room, Cronos and Avenger soon destroy the blasters. Cronos then destroys the half built robot. Truth then spots two security cameras which are destroyed. Then the computer lights up and says "YOU FOOLISH ORGANIC CREATURES, YOU THINK BY FINDING ONE BASE YOU HAVE ME, BUT SOON YOU WILL COME TO UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF TODAY", the computer lights go out and it smells of burning. John Doe opens up the computer and discovers that it is all black and burnt out inside. He also sees that there is a large cable bundle going into the floor, he decides to follow it and oozes down the small gap between the cable bundle and the conduit. Blitz then arrives he soon locates the building and joins the others, the police are called.
Truth finds no human scents in the room other than us. John Doe discovers that the cables lead to a nearby junction box before getting mixed up in a jumble of other cables, he returns to the others. In the crates we find various parts, blaster and grenade parts. There are other parts not for use solely for the robots. Avenger examines the shipping papers from the crates and takes notes then Truth bundles the papers together. They are from various companies but one order stands out, it is from Heckler & Koch (Munich) to London Transport (Morden Depot South London) and the crate contains the blaster and grenade parts.
Avenger then suggests meeting the following evening at the Swan and Parrot Pub in the Mile End Road at 6.30pm. Everyone agrees. Blitz and John Doe stay behind to talk to the police, the others leave. Servo is also advised of the planned meeting.
Avenger returns to the Embankment to retrieve his coat and bottle. He finds them with a nearby tramp who is quickly persuaded to return them. Truth changes into her Salvation Army uniform and returns to the mission, after dropping the shipping papers off at STOP HQ. Cronos decides to find sponsorship for the group and arranges to meet a representative from Nike. Noesis goes home, he puts the tissue sample of John Doe (which appears to be regenerating) into liquid nitrogen . Blitz and John Doe meet the police. John Doe is asked to join the STOP team and also where had he come from. He says he cannot remember, just something about being a garden shed for 50 years. He is given a STOP pager. Blitz gives John Doe some cash and flies away, John Doe grows wings and flies off like an angel, he is passed by three speeding UFO's.
Avenger spends the day phoning round companies trying to trace the orders. Most seem to be orders that have got lost on route. Heckler & Koch say they can't give out information without authorisation codes.
John Doe spends the day getting up to date with new technology, and popular culture. He then transforms himself into Avenger and goes out doing good deeds, he is soon arrested, and eventually taken to STOP HQ. He is interrogated and charged with long list of crimes (6 murders, 22 charges of manslaughter and 473 other charges), John Doe says he knows nothing about any crimes and turns into Cronos, they realise he is the shape shifter and is released, after being lambasted for wasting police time.
Everyone spends the day doing whatever it is they do.
That evening around 6.30pm everyone assembles at the Swan and Parrot.
