The British superhuman Pendragon and the German superhuman Iron Eagle, both of them ex-fighter pilots, battle over the trenches.
With the end of W.W.I both Pendragon and Iron Eagle fall out of the public eye.
A few costumed crime fighters, some of them with superhuman abilities, appear in various parts of the world, especially the USA. Among them is the superhuman known as Shade.
The huge ape known as King Kong rampages through New York before being killed by fighter aircraft.
The Nazis come to power in Germany.
Iron Eagle, now quite an old man, come out of retirement to support the Nazis.
Iron Eagle participates in the Spanish Civil War, fighting against one or two other supers there and assisting the Falangist side.
The airship Hindenburg burns over New Jersey. One of the German crew develops superhuman powers in the blast.
Germany occupies Austria and the Sudetenland.
W.W.II begins in Europe with the invasion of Poland. The invasion includes a previously secret group of Wermacht superhumans, Einzig Macht.
The superteam known as the London Watch is formed. Closely linked to the British government, they fight against German spies and superhumans in the UK, and save many lives during the Blitz.
Shade is rumoured to be in Europe, aiding resistance groups against the Nazis.
Germany invades Russia. Rumours of werewolves and vampires soon surface from troops in Russia.
Japan attacks Pearl Harbour, bringing the USA into W.W.II.
Iron Eagle defects from the Russian front to the UK, and is interned.
The US government bring together a number of domestic superhumans to form the supergroup known as the Guardians.
A second Nazi superteam, part of the SS, is revealed. It is known as Special Group Omega (SG‡).
Allied landings in North Africa.
Extermination of the Jews begins.
Masterman, the 'ultimate Aryan superhuman' is revealed.
Russian military destroy German army at Stalingrad.
A German humanoid walking tank fails to prove effective on the Eastern Front.
Iron Eagle joins the London Watch, on probation.
Massacre in the Warsaw ghetto.
First V-1 bombs attack London.
Allies invade Italy. Italian superhumans defect to the Allied side. Italy soon surrenders.
Rumours of London Watch operating in occupied Europe.
Allied D-day landings in France. The London Watch and the Guardians are there.
First sightings of UFOs over the battlefields of Europe.
The British superhuman Maximan is created using knowledge gained from defecting Nazi scientists.
An assassination plot against Hitler by his own generals is foiled.
A massive flying Nazi death machine appears over London, and bombards it for several hours, until it is brought down by the London Watch.
British airborne forces land at Arnhem, supported by the London Watch. They are forced to withdraw.
The War ends with the US nuclear bombings of Berlin and Tokyo. Maximan and Masterman both die in the Berlin blast. Hitler commits suicide and his body is destroyed by fire.
A large number of high-ranking Nazis, including many scientists, escape in a huge ballistic rocket plane to an unknown destination, along with huge amounts of Nazi gold.
Allied forces discover an impenetrable thicket of dead black roses growing over the Belsen concentration camp.
There are rumours of incredible, horrific, and bizarre science and technology being discovered in captured Nazi laboratories.
Nuremberg trials of Nazi war criminals. Many of SG‡ are indicted.
The United Nations is formed.
UFO are seen with high frequency until by the present day they go unremarked anywhere in the world. There are also occasional reports of strange explosions and things falling from the sky. Various rumours of who is behind them are dismissed by governments around the world.
India and Pakistan become independent.
The Indian superteam, Checkmate, forms during the post-independence disturbances.
Reports of three UFOs crash landing in New Mexico dismissed by the US government.
Rumours of Nazis running the Argentinean government are dismissed by various governments after investigation.
An attempted assassination of Ghandi is prevented by an Indian superhuman.
The state of Israel is created.
The Berlin blockade and airlift occur.
The London Watch disband over irreconcilable political differences.
NATO is formed.
Communists take over mainland China; Nationalist forces flee to Taiwan.
Apartheid established in South Africa.
US Senator Joseph McCarthy begin his anti-communist witchhunt.
The Korean War begins as North Korea invades South Korea.
The New Knights form from the remnants of the London Watch.
China invades Tibet. Their invading force disappears and is never heard from again.
Under duress the Guardians form official links to the US government, becoming an arm of it; several members, including Superpatriot, leave in disgust.
US nuclear tests in the south Pacific awaken some kind of huge sea monster. Only another nuclear weapon proves able to kill it.
The EEC is formed.
Queen Elizabeth II is crowned.
A massive space platform appears in orbit over the Earth. In a broadcast from it, Nazi leaders demand to be given control of the world, or nuclear fire will rain down from space. Only a small group of Russian and European superhumans in a jury rigged spaceship stop the threat.
An unsuccessful coup attempt occurs in Cuba.
The Korean War ends. Superhumans fought on both sides, but their efforts essentially canceled out each others.
Acting in information from prisoners taken from the space platform, American naval forces bombard a secret Nazi base in Antarctica.
Joseph McCarthy falls from power.
When the Antarctic Nazi base proves too resistant, nuclear weapons are used to eradicate it. The survivors flee, their power broken.
French nuclear weapons tests awaken another huge monster, which is also killed with a nuclear weapon.
Soviet tanks invade Hungary. Soviet and Hungarian superhumans battle in the process.
The Suez crisis occurs.
The first US and Soviet space stations are launched.
A successful communist revolution, aided by several superhumans, puts Fidel Casto into power in Cuba.
China attempts, unsuccessfully, to take over Taiwan.
The organisation Demon is heard from for the first time when it attempts some kind of magical ritual at Stonehenge.
A huge Nazi 'Sleeper' robot, hidden underground, activates and heads for Moscow. It is destroyed by a number of Eastern Bloc superhumans.
The Viper organisation is heard from for the first time when it masterminds several massive robberies across Europe. Over time it grows into a worldwide criminal empire.
Pendragon dies of old age; after his death his memoirs are released.
The New Knights rename themselves the Knights of Pendragon, in honour of Pendragon who died the previous year.
The first E-cells, super-efficient compact batteries, come on the market; they soon replace most other portable power sources.
The US lands a man on the moon.
The US attempts an unsuccessful invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs.
The Berlin Wall is constructed.
Amnesty International founded.
The Cuban missile crisis occurs; Skirmishes occur between US and Cuban superhumans.
Thalidomide causes children to be born with severe birth defects. Some have uncontrollable superpowers.
Demon attempts some kind of magical ritual near Bermuda. It is foiled by the Guardians.
President Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas. A member of the Guardians kills himself in remorse.
A second 'sleeper' robot activates itself in Antarctica. All contact is lost with it as it submerges. It soon resurfaces on the east coast of the USA. Much damage is caused before it is destroyed by the Guardians.
The US involves itself in the Vietnam war. All through the war Vietnamese superhumans tend to balance out the US ones.
Fighting between Mods and Rockers occurs in many British resorts.
Blaster weapons, derived from E-cell technology, are deployed for the first time, in vehicle mounted form.
A huge earthquake occurs in Alaska.
The superhuman Dr Draconis appears for the first time when he unsuccessfully attempts to force the US from Vietnam.
