The daughter of a warrior of the Tribe, Anna developed mental and healing powers when she reached puberty and was taken in by Zander, the Tribal Priest, to be trained as his successor. Since then she has grown up into a tall, impressive and very attractive young woman with slightly golden skin, black hair and brown eyes.
The youngest member of the party, Khai is also the Tribe's greatest warrior and has been since the age of eleven, when he bested his father Antin in single combat. He often leads hunting parties out into the plains, and his great strength has become essential when the Tribe migrates around the plains. His almost fanatical religious beliefs are well known to all members of the Tribe. He is very tall, hugely muscled and hugely impressive, with fair tanned skin, grey eyes and brown hair.
Tall and slender with fair skin, dark brown hair and dissimilar eyes - one blue, one brown, Rei is the son of one of the Tribe's greatest warriors, now dead. His sister, Sha, is another of the Tribes Gifted. When he developed the power to control the weather he was taken in by Zander and is being trained by him as second apprentice priest, subordinate to Anna.
Like her brother Rei, Sha is fairly tall and slender with fair skin, light brown hair and hazel eyes. When she developed the ability to turn into a rocky form, she was taken in and adopted by Sharman, the Tribal Bard, and is being trained as his successor in the telling of the Tribe's history. Although normally not particularly impressive and of only normal strength, when she changes into her rock form she becomes much stronger, faster and more impressive.
One of the Tribe's best warriors (although not as good as Khai), Tor has the ability to change his shape into anything he can imagine, which he uses to good effect in combat, and also in the occasional practical jokes he plays on people. His senses are also very acute and he is capable of recognising and tracking people by their scent. As he can change his shape he has no fixed appearance.
Although her telekinetic powers, speed and ability to fly make her quite useful as a hunter, Yana spends most of her time looking after several especially disfigured members of her family. Because of this she has developed some skill at healing, although this is not one of her powers. Small and slight, Yana is attractive and has tanned fair skin, light brown hair and dark blue eyes.
