Recent Events
The group have been named the London Knights by the press and in the past six weeks they have done the following.
As a group they have stopped a number of the Viper bank raids across London.
Noesis/Dr Jack goes to the STOP headquarters and requests to meet and hopefully join the London Knights. He has found it extremely difficult to mix with normal folk (being a brain in a floating goldfish bowl) and thinks he may fit in with the Knights. Sergeant Coulthard pages Blitz, who in turn contacts Truth, Servo and Cronos and arranges to meet in the cafeteria (Blitz's idea of a fun meeting place).
Eventually they all meet up and everyone is introduced. Dr Jack strikes up a conversation with Truth (as she is so attractive and wears an all in one silvery white body suit), asking about how she got her powers, she tells him she had an accident and goes into her "we must all work towards truth and justice for all" speech.
MEANWHILE - Avenger is walking the Embankment, doing an amazing impression of an alcoholic vagrant, when he sees a diver rise from the water and fire a bazooka into the riverbank. This explosion is followed by two others not far away. Avenger removes and hides his cunning disguise of hat, overcoat and bottle of whisky, and races to the scene of the crime. There he finds that the tube has been exposed and a train is approaching, but there is rubble on the tracks. Avenger manages to clear the track and the train stops before any further damage is done, Avenger then goes back to the surface and assists the emergency services in pulling people from the rubble.
MEANWHILE - At STOP HQ a loud VWOOP VWOOP noise is heard, we all proceed to the command centre and are informed of explosions at Embankment tube station, Temple tube station and Black friars Bridge. The group decide to go and assist the emergency services, Cronos (Master of Time) speeds away, Dr Jack explains he can fly, and Servo and Blitz (who both fly) both offer to carry the delectable Truth. She goes with Servo.
A short time later a message is received from Viper, it is broadcast on all bands. They say that they have taken control of the Thames Barrier and have blown three holes in the Thames Wall so when the approaching storm surge arrives London will flood. They demand one billion Pounds to raise the Barrier - we have under three hours until the storm surge begins.
Avenger boards the nearest police boat and asks to be taken to the Thames Barrier, Avenger's reputation holds him in good stead yet again, they soon comply. From the boat he contacts Servo and informs him of his intention, everyone arranges to meet. Cronos arrives first (of course) simply running across the water. Everyone else arrives. We are dropped off at Greenwich by the police boat. Here we are met by a motorcycle courier for Servo to replace his used jet packs and fuel packs. We then consider the route to the Barrier and Truth convinces Servo, Dr Jack and Avenger to use the bus. Cronos decides to run and Blitz decides to fly, neither want anything to do with the bus idea.
Cronos arrives at the Barrier, he has a reconnaissance of the building. He locates the hostages and terrorists position and awaits the rest of the group. Blitz flies over the Barrier and is shot at, Viper threatens to blow up the barrier if he doesn't leave so he lands and awaits the others.
The others meanwhile find the bus stop. The driver of the next bus is however reluctant to let them on board, he is soon convinced by Avenger (pointing a gun at him) to open the door. We pay our fare and arrange with the driver to change his route to drop us at the Barrier. Here we are met by the press, Cronos and Blitz.
After posing for pictures we discuss our course of action, advised by Mr William Smythe, the Chief Engineer of the Thames Barrier.
THE ATTACK - Cronos again enters the building and goes to the basement to the building. The others use the power cable conduit entrance to the basement, the alarm is circumvented by Servo cutting through the door, Truth desolidifies and passes through the wall. When everyone is together we split into our planned groups, Servo, Blitz, Cronos and Noesis to the control Room and Avenger and Truth to the Storage room (where the remaining hostages are being kept). Cronos takes Noesis (as quick as a flash) into the room and hides him in the corner. Noesis uses his psychic powers to point all the guns in the room at the ceiling, then takes hold of the dead man's switch held by one of the terrorists. Cronos turns off the lights, then proceeds in attacking the nearest Viper agent, Servo and Blitz also enter at this point and Viper agents are attacked.
Avenger and Truth go to the storage room. Avenger kicks the door off its hinges and steps into the corridor outside the storage room facing two Viper agents. Truth still in her gaseous state passes through the wall into the storage room and sees the six hostages and another two Viper agents. Avenger is shot at, as his flesh is torn away by the blaster shots he laughs and using his now greatly increased presence tells them to leave now if they wish to live. They do. In the storage room the two agents are distracted by the shots outside the room. Truth solidifies and attacks the agents with some choking gases, then desolidifies again. Avenger opens the door and fires on the two choking agents, once they are dealt with Truth checks the hostages are all OK. Then desolidifies again.
Back in the control room the Knights have dealt with about half of the Viper men and the hostages are trying to hide under various parts of equipment. Then the Viper commander calls for his men to use grenades (as the guns are useless as they keep pointing upwards). The remaining five agents reach for grenades, Noesis tries to use another psychic attack to control the grenades but fails. The pins are pulled on the grenades and they are thrown.......
